Deep Tissue Massage with ESP Physio - Pulseroll

What is Deep Tissue Massage?

Deep tissue massage works by applying pressure deep into the muscle fibres to break up knots and sore spots. It’s more of a blanket term that describes a number of different therapies, and is often used medically by physiotherapists and chiropractors.

Many athletes will experience muscle soreness as they push their body physically during training. Resistance training in particular causes the muscle fibres to tear, which inflames the area and this is what hurts so much after a workout! Deep tissue massage will release muscle tension, improve circulation and aid pain relief. It’s not just athletes who benefit from deep tissue massage, as anyone with muscle and mobility issues will feel the improvements from just one treatment.

The technique is to apply pressure, roll slightly, and let the vibrations work their magic.
