tips for lockdown

Find a new hobby

We’ve all got that one thing we’d love to do but have never found the time, like learning to play an instrument or practising a new sport. There is no better time than the present to make a start! Use this time well and spend some time investing in yourself - you’ll thank yourself for it after all of this is over.

Pick up a book

Not only does reading pass the time but it’s a great way to escape from the real world for a while. If you’re feeling anxious, picking up a book is a great idea to get stuck into a story where you can focus on something other than what’s happening in the world right now.

Complete your to-do list

isolation
We all have that one thing on our to-do list that just never gets done! You now have all the time in the world to paint that fence or clean the oven… as much as you might not want to, you don't have any excuses now!

Improve your diet

It’s often easier said than done, but try putting more thought and effort into the meals you eat. No more eating out or takeaways could force you to cook for yourself everyday. Try some new recipes and find out what you like. This is a great chance to experiment with foods and discover some new recipes.

Try a new workout routine

Not being able to go to the gym anymore shouldn’t result in you giving up exercise completely. Find new ways to get your workout in by following online routines and reading these self-isolation workout tips. You could also take up running or cycling to get in your daily exercise.
