Training and workouts can have an impact on our bodies, but aching feet is something many can relate to even if not a gym-lover. One of the most effective ways to combat the aches and pains we experience in the soles of our feet is by using a vibrating foam roller to perform a deep self-massage.
The vibrating nature of the roller combined with pressure applied through effective positioning and rolling techniques helps to soften the connective tissue (fascia), relieve tightness and encourage blood flow to the area.
There are many different positions for foam rolling the feet, including sitting and standing. However, in this video guide, we’ll show you how to use a foam roller on your feet while laying down. The exercises can be performed anywhere, and as the rollers are portable and lightweight, they’re easy to take with you to work, rehabilitation clinics, the gym or home.
